2/12 Recap: Schutz gets a goal

A presumably tired Philip Gogulla was -2 in Cologne's 4-3 OT loss to second-place Berlin. DEL play resumed after a ten-day layoff, but Gogulla's season carried on through the break as a member of Germany's entry at the Skoda Cup. The Dusseldorf-born left wing had three assists in three games against teams from France, Slovakia, and Switzerland. Assists have been Gogulla's thing, as he's served 27 helpers to just nine goals in the Sharks' 44 games this season. Gogulla's Team Germany mate, Felix Schutz, scored his ninth goal of the year as Ingolstadt took down Hamburg, 4-3. The goal ups his season point total to 20, good for eighth on the Ingolstadt roster. Schutz went without a point in two Skoda games. Edit: Brad Eidsness made 20 saves in Okotoks' 5-2 win over the Calgary Canucks. The Chestermere, Alberta native shrugged off a loss to Camrose on Sunday, just his third regulation defeat this season, to pick up his league-best 26th win. With an 8-1-0-1 record in their last ten, the Oilers have reappeared in the AJAHL Top 15 Rankings (#14) for the first time in 2008.
