10/14 Recap: Byron back on board

In the QMJHL, center Paul Byron posted a goal and an assist as Gatineau gave up a third period lead in their 5-4 loss at Baie-Comeau. Byron, who averaged 1.31 points-per-game in 2008-09, notched his second multi-point effort of the season after a two-game dry spell. The Piques will travel to Chicoutimi for a Wednesday match-up with the Sagueneens. Jean-Simon Allard was +2 in Quebec's 7-1 win over Rouyn-Noranda. The 10-1 Remparts will try to keep their undefeated road record in tact Wednesday night when they visit winless Val d'Or (0-10-1). In a basement battle, Philip Gogulla assisted on the game winner as Cologne defeated Duisburg, 4-2. The 6'2 forward now has four points in his last three games. With their third win against ten losses, the Sharks leave the DEL's last place spot all to the Foxes.
