10/19 Recap: Gogulla grooving as Sharks start to bite

In the DEL, Philip Gogulla assisted on the fifth Cologne goal as the Sharks opened up a Sunday can on Augsburger, 6-1. The 6'2 winger is starting to heat up, netting two goals and two assists in his past five games. Victorious in two of their last three, one could say that the four-win Sharks are starting to get a little warm as well. They will look for their first winning streak of the season on Thursday when they skate against the Kassel Huskies. In QMJHL play, Paul Byron had an assist for Gatineau in their 5-3 loss to Val-d'Or. The 5'9 playmaker also won 11 of his 18 draws on the afternoon for the Piques, but goals are still hard to come by. The Foreurs first win comes one night after tying the QMJHL record for most consecutive losses to start the season (14). In PEI, Jordon Southorn was -3 with five shots on goal as the Rockets fell to Bathurst, 4-1. The Rocket was slow and sloppy defensively, allowing the Titan to make the most of their 22 shots on goal. Jacob Lagacé finished -2 as Chicoutimi lost for the second straight night, 4-2 to the Drakkar.
