Byron's pair solves 'Piques slump

Paul Byron scored a pair of power play goals for Gatineau in their 3-2 victory over Montreal. The speedster also registered a game-high six shots on goal en route to being named the game's #1 star. T.J. Brennan and Luke Adam did not factor into either of the Montreal goals. The win is the first in fourteen games for les Olympiques, as well as the first for new coach Jerome Dupont. Also this afternoon, Jacob Lagacé posted a short-handed assist in Chicoutimi's 4-2 loss to Halifax. In Shawinigan, Jordon Southorn finished at -1 in PEI's 3-1 loss to the Cataractes. The win was the 14th straight for the Cats.
