12/16 Recap: Tropp goes to bat in loss

At Munn, Corey Tropp scored a goal for Michigan State in the Spartans 4-2 exhibition loss to the U.S. NTDP U-18 club. The sophomore swatted a puck out of the air in the third period to create a 2-2 tie before the U18's scored the go-ahead goal with 5:35 remaining. The six-footer also posted a game-best six shots on net. In the OHL, Nick Crawford finished -1 as Saginaw got tripled up on the road by Windsor, 6-2. The defenseman was on the ice for a first period shortie by Adam Henrique (NJ), sending to Caledon, Ontario native to his ninth game in the minus column for the 20-10-0-2 Spirit. The two clubs will play it back on Friday in Saginaw.
