I'm really getting fed up with the Sabres. I'm at the point where I hope they don't make the playoffs and win a lottery or make some trades with some crappy teams for another high first rounder. And I could almost care less who they trade.

I'd like to see a defenseman on this team that can score (Bouwmeester). Do u think we'll see Brennan or Schiestel their rookie year?

I love Bouwmeester, and have been on a mini-crusade for the team to give it hard look. Some will say that the D isn't the problem. I'll say that every winner has had a rock #1 dman in front of their franchise goalie. He could be Buffalo's while Myers gets there. Stack up the jack, give him what he wants and go.

I'm not worried about possibly having the youngest d corps in the league. JayBo is only three years older than Sekera and Butler, but has six NHL seasons plus a lockout year under his belt.

Myers could be JayBo Lite, but with he, Butler, Sekera, and Weber nearing readiness, I like the mix of skills. A healthy Rivet could add sand as he runs his deal out.

Due to depth as of today, I think things will have to go horribly wrong injury wise if Brennan and Schiestel see time in a Buff uni next season. Both will be on the road to becoming capable pros, but that's an aggressive projection at this point.
