Myers, Ennis get gold

Congratulations to Tyler Myers and Tyler Ennis who, as members of Team Canada, helped the red and white win their fifth consecutive World Junior Hockey Championship with a 5-1 win over Sweden. The 6'7 Myers was perhaps the steadiest Canadian defenseman throughout the medal round. He increased his physical play with each game, and was very effective in getting the puck out of his end quickly all tournament. The Calgary native finished the gold medal game with a +2, and was a +5 overall in the tournament I didn't count shifts for Ennis, but his line with Jamie Benn and Brett Sonne was limited as Myers gained more steam. The shifty left wing produced in pool play, finishing with three goals, four assists, and 13 shots on goal in the six Canada wins.
