It's hasn't been a good week for Buffalo's Swedish-born defensemen. Skating in a game with Timra's J20 squad earlier in week, Dennis Persson took a pop to the shoulder that should keep him off the ice for at least two weeks. Positive x-ray results revealed no breaks, but the 20-year old has been in considerable pain with a minor separation (AC joint). Persson has averaged 11:51 of work in 38 games this season. It's been a rough January for the 2007 first rounder, as he was just recovered from a bout with tonsillitis when the injury occurred. The SEL takes a 10-day break to start February, so Persson will essentially be out of action until February 12th at the earliest. Persson's shoulder bump comes in the same week that defenseman Henrik Tallinder went down with a right shoulder injury in Tampa.
