12/9 Recap: McNabb pots winner

Brayden McNabb scored the game winning goal and added two assists on Wednesday as Kootenay downed Edmonton, 5-2. The big defender has four goals and five assists in six games since returning from a knee injury.

In the OHL, Nick Crawford finished +1 as Barrie earned a 5-4 overtime win over Owen Sound. The win makes the Colts unbeaten in their last 20 games.

Zack Kassian posted bagels across the stat sheet in Peterborough’s 3-2 shootout win over Belleville. The blanking snaps Kassian’s three-game point streak.

In the QMJHL, Jacob LagacĂ© was +1 with six shots on goal as Chicoutimi lost to Montreal, 3-2. The 5’11 forward went pointless in two straight games for the first time all season after seeing his 11-game point streak come to an end last week.

In a mid-week college tilt, Alex Biega was even in Harvard's 3-2 loss to Boston College. The loss drops the Crimson to a meager 1-8-2 on the season.

In Tuesday Q play, Jordon Southorn was -1 in PEI’s 3-0 shutout loss to Moncton.
