2/13 Recap: Kassian cashes in

Zack Kassian scored his second straight game-winning goal Sunday and added two assists as Windsor hammered Sarnia, 8-0. The points, two of which came on the power play, give Kassian a career-high 65 on the year. His previous career best was 63 set in 2008-09 with Peterborough. 

Gregg Sutch finished -2 as Mississauga stumbled for the second straight game with a 4-2 loss to Ottawa. The grinding forward has just one assist and a -4 rating in his last eight games.

Steven Shipley did not factor as Niagara defeated Brampton, 3-1. The 6'3 center has a goal and four assists in his last 10 games. Ryan Strome ('11) had three assists for the IceDogs.

In the WHL, Kevin Sundher extended his point streak to four games with an assist as Chilliwack got whacked by Tri-City, 6-1. Sunder has 14 points (3+11) in his last 10 games. Matt MacKenzie was even with a pair of minor penalties for the Americans.

Mark Pysyk (+2) picked up an assist on the game's first goal as Edmonton edged Swift Current, 3-2. The steady defender improves his line to 3-26-29 and a sturdy +24 rating in 50 games.

In the USHL, Christian Isackson had an assist and his first USHL fighting major as Sioux Falls downed Tri-City, 6-2. The 6-footer ate one at the start before earning a clear victory over 5'9 Jason Binkley.
