2/16 Recap: Kassian begins late season cruise

Zack Kassian scored a goal and an assist Wednesday as Windsor suffered a 5-3 loss to Kitchener. The big forward has three goals, including two on the power play and two game winners, and five assists over his current four-game point streak to add to his line of 24-43-67 on the year. He skated without a point in four games leading up to the streak.

Gregg Sutch did not play as Mississauga got hammered by Oshawa, 8-2. Dogged by injuries and unspectacular play of late, the the grinder has been scratched two of the past three games. Along the way, the CHL's #2 ranked Majors have hit a three-game losing skid for the first time this season.

In the Q, Jerome Gauthier-Leduc posted five shots on goal as Rimouski defeated PEI, 3-2 in the shootout.
On Tuesday, Corey Fienhage played even as Kamloops earned a 3-2 shootout win over Tri-City. Matt MacKenzie was -1 with two minor penalties including a delay of game call with 3:40 left in regulation.
