2/23 Recap: Pysyk adds grease as Oil Kings roll

Mark Pysyk (+2) cashed a goal and three assists Wednesday as Edmonton bested Calgary, 8-5. The 4-on-4 tally was Pysyk's fourth of the season, while the four-point night equals his career-best set on December 3rd just days after being announced to the Team Canada Selection Camp roster. The 6'1 defender has 17 points has in his last 19 games and a line of 4-30-34 +29 on the year.

Elsewhere in the WHL, Brayden McNabb scored his 18th goal of the year as Kootenay was stopped by Red Deer, 5-4. The 6'4 captain has goals in four of his last five games and 13 points total in his last ten. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins ('11) had an assist and a season-low -3 for the Rebs.

Corey Fienhage registered an assist and a +3 rating as Kamloops earned a 5-4 shootout win over Lethbridge. After sinking to a cumulative -15 through late January, the big defender is +7 in his last 10 games.

Riley Boychuk assisted on the game's first goal as Portland sneaked past Prince George, 6-5. The give-and-go helper gives the 6'5 power forward a career-best 31 points (15+16). Boychuk was later injured up high and is currently listed as day-to-day.
