11/8 Recap: Pysyk chips in; Sundher banged up

Mark Pysyk chipped in two assists Tuesday as Edmonton throttled Victoria, 8-2. The two-helper effort was his third multi-point game of the season, giving the steady defender a goal and 11 assists in 17 games. Edmonton returns to action Wednesday at Vancouver.

The bigger news could be the loss of Victoria's star center, Kevin Sundher. The six-foot ace, who entered play as the WHL’s third-leading scorer, retreated to the locker room after getting drilled into the boards during a first-period power play. Sundher would not return for the second or third periods with a lower body injury. As of now it’s unclear if he’ll miss any additional action. The Royals next face Red Deer on Saturday.
