1/17 Recap: Armia assists in Assat win

Joel Armia recorded an assist Tuesday to extend his point streak to five games as Assat edged Ilves, 2-1. After a scoreless first period, Armia opened up for a one-timer during a second period power play that rebounded to a waiting Tomas Zaborsky. The 6'3 wing now has eight goals and 14 points in his last 15 games.




In WHL action, Colin Jacobs finished -2 as Seattle was shut out by Tri-City, 4-0. The 6'1 center has three goals and two assists through his first 15 games.

On Monday, Jacobs didn't factor into the scoring as Seattle defeated Spokane, 3-2. The victory ended the T-Birds' six game skid.
