1/18-19 Recap: Lieuwen gets 20th win

Nathan Lieuwen made 21 saves Wednesday to earn his 20th win of the year as Kootenay earned a 3-2 overtime win over Regina. The 6'5 netminder, who is one game off his 33-win pace from a season ago (he won his 21st game of 2010-11 a year ago to the day), could get a shot to continue his roll on Friday when the ICE travels to Moose Jaw.

Kevin Sundher finished -1 as Brandon downed Saskatoon, 6-4. Sundher has three assists in five games with Wheat Kings, and zero goals in eight January games. The Wheat Kings and Blades will play it back Friday in Saskatoon.

Mark Pysyk was +1 as Edmonton blanked Prince George, 5-0. The Oil Kings are at Swift Current on Friday.

In OHL play, Dan Catenacci did not factor into the scoring as Owen Sound held on for a 5-4 win over Plymouth. The Attack return to action Friday at London.

On Thursday, Alex Lepkowski finished +1 as Barrie defeated Saginaw 4-3 in a shootout. Gregg Sutch missed his eighth game with an upper body injury. The Colts host Guelph on Saturday.
