1/4 Recap: Leduc pots career best; Lieuwen gets W

Jerome Gauthier-Leduc scored his 21st goal of the year Wednesday as Rimouski was lumped by Shawinigan, 8-3. The league leading goal total for defensemen gives the 6'2 righty a new career best. Rimouski battles Baie-Comeau on Friday.



Elsewhere, Nathan Lieuwen made 33 saves as Kootenay handled Swift Current, 5-1. The 6'5 stopper, who surrendered the goal off a power play deflection, gets his first win since December 16th to move to 17-9-1-2 on the year. The ICE welcome Moose Jaw to town on Saturday.

Drew MacKenzie extended his point streak to a career-high five games with an assist as Vermont was defeated by Maine, 3-1. On Saturday, the Catamounts will travel to Fenway Park for an outdoor tilt with U-Mass.

Alex Lepkowski finished -1 as Barrie lost to Sudbury, 5-3. Gregg Sutch missed his third straight game for the Colts, who move on to face London on Saturday.

Colin Jacobs finished -1 as Seattle lost to Everett, 5-2. The Thunderbirds return to action Friday at Tri-City.
