2/12 Recap: Lieuwen blanks Hitmen

Nathan Lieuwen stopped 26 shots to earn his third shutout this season and ninth of his career in Kootenay's 3-0 blanking of Calgary. The 6'5 netminder has been excellent of late, winning four of his last five starts to improve his record to 24-12-4-2 while leading the WHL with a 2.24 goals against average and .923 save percentage.

Elsewhere, Steven Shipley scored his 15th goal of the year as Niagara's 5-3 win over Oshawa. The 6'3 center has four goals and seven points in his last six games - all Niagara wins.

Kevin Sundher (-2) saw his three-game point streak snapped as Brandon lost to Medicine Hat, 4-2. Sundher, who is -10 since coming to Brandon, has nine points in 16 games (.56 p/g) since the trade. He previously averaged 1.60 points-per-game while with Victoria.
