Andrey Makarov made 29 saves Sunday to guide Saskatoon to a 6-3 win over Medicine Hat. The win was the Blades’ second in a row after losing their previous five. Makarov improves to 4-6-0-0 on the year with all four wins coming on the road. Next up for the Blades is a home game Wednesday against Tri-City.
In the OHL, Justin Kea was kept off the scoresheet in Saginaw’s 5-3 loss at Brampton. The Spirit return to action Friday versus Mississauga.
