10/2 Recap: Armia cashes two in Aces win

Joel Armia scored a pair of first-period goals Tuesday and added an assist as Assat downed the Lahti Pelicans 7-4. The 6-foot-3 wing struck with a wrist shot just 25-seconds into the game to give the Aces a 1-0 lead. He out the lamp-lighter back to work nine minutes later by cutting to the net and directing a Mike Ryan pass into the Pelicans cage. Armia now has five goals and eight points heading into Friday's game with the Blues.


In QMJHL action, Mikhail Grigorenko notched an assist as Quebec edged Chicoutimi 2-1. Grigorenko's streak of multi-point games ends at four (he still has the five-game sreak in hand) while the Remparts remain unbeaten to improve to 5-0-0-0 in league play. The Remparts host Victoriaville on Friday.
