11/17 Recap: Cat cashes 15th

Dan Catenacci scored a goal and an assist Saturday as Owen Sound pitched a 4-0 shutout of Kitchener. The strike, Catenacci's 15th of the year, came off a gorgeous sniper-like shot from the right side to beat Rangers goaltender John Gibson (ANA). The Attack battle Windsor on Sunday.



Justin Kea (-1) did not point as Saginaw was defeated by Brampton 4-1. The Spirirt travel to Sault Ste. Marie on Wednesday.

Alex Lepkowski posted a season-best +3 rating as Barrie skated to a thrilling 6-5 overtime win over Windsor. The Colts finish the weekend with a Sunday visit to Sudbury.

Brady Austin finished with a +1 rating as Belleville edged Plymouth 3-2 in overtime. The Bulls are off until Friday when they travel to Niagara.

In the WHL, Colin Jacobs snapped a nine-game goal drought with his ninth of the year and added an assist as Prince George dropped a 5-4 decision at Kamloops. The Cougars next host Regina on Tuesday.


Logan Nelson was credited with an assist as Victoria lost to Regina 3-2. Nelson's Royals will go back at it Tuesday in Saskatoon.



In NCAA action, Christian Isackson notched an assist and three shots on goal as Minnesota claimed a 3-1 victory over Wisconsin. Minnesota continues the schedule next weekend with the team's first-ever trip to Vermont. Jake McCabe (-1) and Brad Navin each failed to register a shot on goal for the Badgers, who host Minnesota State next weekend.

Linus Ullmark made 31 saves as MODO J20 defeated Djurgardens 4-3 in overtime. The J20 will keep their game faces fresh for Sunday's meeting with AIK.

Joel Armia did not score in 18:23 of work as Assat earned a 3-2 win over JYP. Armia and the Aces return to action Tuesday in Lahti versus the Pelicans.

In AHL play, Kevin Porter and Evan Rankin provided goals but Rochester came up short in a 3-2 loss at Binghamton. Marcus Foligno, Brayden McNabb, Frederick Roy, and Brian Flynn all captured assists in the loss. For Flynn, the helper gives him points in seven straight games. The Amerks return home for Friday's tilt with Albany.
