11/22 Recap: Peterson points in Riders loss

Judd Peterson notched an assist Thursday as Cedar Rapids dropped a 4-3 decision at Waterloo. The helper gives Peterson nine points (2+7) through his first dozen USHL contests. The RoughRiders will look to avenge the loss when the two clubs play a rematch Saturday in Cedar Rapids.

In the OHL, Alex Lepkowski recorded a minus-one rating as Barrie suffered their second defeat in a row 3-2 to Brampton. Lepkowski moved the puck well, in one instance leading to the first Colts goal, but Barrie's late surge that created a 14-2 shots advantage in the final period came up short.

Brady Austin (-1) did not factor into the scoring as Belleville skated to a 4-3 shootout victory over Erie. Erie's 15-year old phenom Connor McDavid went without a point for just the third time in 24 games.
