11/23 Recap: Grigorenko continues tear; Flynn scores thrice

Mikhail Grigorenko notched his second hat trick of the year Friday as Quebec pasted Sherbrooke 6-0. Grigorenko has scored 11 goals in his last six games with no assists along the way. Grigorenko will look to maintain his upped willingness to shoot and continue his impeccable stretch Sunday in Chicoutimi.

Andrey Makarov stopped 41 of 43 shots as Saskatoon banded together for a three-goal third period to earn a 3-2 upset victory over #2 ranked Kamloops. The Blades finish their road trip Saturday night in Kelowna.

Colin Jacobs scored a first-period goal, his 10th of the year, to help Prince George to a 5-4 win over Victoria. Logan Nelson tried to bring the Royals back in the second period with a beautiful assist from behind the net, but the Cougars weathered the late storm to earn the one-goal victory. Jacobs also earned instigator and fighting major penalties after a second period dust-up with Logan Fisher.

In OHL play, Justin Kea scored his seventh goal of the year as Saginaw dropped a 2-1 decision at Windsor. Kea, whose season goal total through 26 games equals his career total heading into the season (127 games), drove the paint and finished off the easy-tap in to even the score at one apiece early in the middle frame.

Brady Austin finished with a minus-two rating as Belleville was defeated by Niagara 4-1. The Bulls are home on Sunday versus Ottawa.

In NCAA play, Jake McCabe and Brad Navin each were held without a point as Wisconsin continued their free fall with a 4-2 loss to Minnesota State. The Badgers will look to improve on their 1-6-2 record when they play a rematch with the Mavericks on Saturday.

Christian Isackson returned to Minnesota's top forward line with Nick Bjugstad and Kyle Rau as the Gophers skated to a 5-1 win at Vermont. The Gophers will look for the non-conference sweep Saturday in Burlington.

Brian Flynn scored three goals and added an assist Friday to guide Rochester to a 5-2 win over Albany. Flynn capped his hat trick with a marker into the empty net with 1:10 to play in the third period. T.J. Brennan added a pair of shorthanded goals and a helper to round out the scoring. Mark Pysyk and Marcus Foligno recorded assists for the Amerks, who next face San Antonio at home on Wednesday (November 28).
