11/29 Recap: Austin, Peterson ring again

Brady Austin scored a shorthanded goal Thursday and added an assist as Belleville lost to Peterborough 4-3 in a shootout. The 6-foot-4 defender, who has now scored in back-to-back games, has nine points (2+7) through 27 outings heading into Saturday's date with Kingston.

Elsewhere, Alex Lepkowski finished with a plus-one rating as Barrie doubled Windsor 4-2. The Colts visit London on Friday.

In the USHL, Judd Peterson scored his fourth goal of the year as Cedar Rapids lost in overtime to Chicago 6-5. Just like Austin, Peterson will look to make it goals in three straight Saturday when the RoughRiders take on Dubuque.

In Sweden, Linus Ullmark remained with the top club to serve as backup goaltender as MODO earned a 2-0 shutout of Timra. MODO continues the Elitserien schedule Saturday versus Farjestads.
