In Calgary, Dan Catenacci was released from Team Canada's World Junior Selection Camp Thursday following a 2-0 win over a CIS squad. The speedy center, who posted one assist in three camp contests, will return to Owen Sound looking to improve on his team-leading 45 points (17+28) through 32 games.

Elsewhere, Jake McCabe (+1) and Brad Navin (3 SOG) were each held without a point as Wisconsin extended their unbeaten streak to five games with a 5-0 rout of Alabama-Huntsville. McCabe will play in Friday's rematch before departing for the NY metro area to skate at Team USA Selection Camp starting Sunday.

In the OHL,  Alex Lepkowski finished with a minus-one rating as Barrie was defeated by Oshawa 3-1. The 6-foot-4 defender had played the previous five games with an even or better rating. The Colts will play weekend games versus Plymouth (Saturday) and at Kitchener (Sunday) before enjoying a 12-day break for the holiday.
