Logan Nelson buried a rebound for his seventh goal of the year Wednesday as Victoria was hammered by Vancouver 7-2. Snubbed by USA Hockey for their U20 Selection Camp, Nelson's goal gives points in 10 consecutive games. The Royals return to action Saturday when they host Swift Current.

Mikhail Grigorenko scored his 26th goal of the year as Quebec was doubled at PEI 4-2. Grigorenko's tally gives him 47 points through 28 games. With Team Russia's World Junior camp beginning on Dec. 7, it's possible that Grigorenko will finish Quebec's weekend trip through the Maritimes (Friday at Acadie-Bathurst, Saturday at Saint John) before leaving for camp.

In the OHL, Brady Austin earned an assist on the game winning goal as Belleville defeated Peterborough 3-2 in overtime. The mammoth defender has four points in his last four games. The Bulls visit Kitchener on Friday.

Dan Catenacci notched a secondary assist on the power play as Owen Sound clamed a 3-2 shootout victory over Plymouth. At the 30 game mark, the speedy centerman has amassed 17 goals, 44 points, and a solid plus-17 rating. The Attack are back in action Friday at Guelph.

Andrey Makarov stopped 18 of 22 shots as Saskatoon lost to Spokane 4-1. The Russian netminder sees his record sag to 13-13-0-1 before departing for his homeland in preparation for the World Junior Championship.
