Christian Isackson notched his third goal of the year Tuesday as No. 1 Minnesota skated to a 4-1 victory over No. 2 Notre Dame. The highlight reel tally showed off Isackson's great hands as he capitalized on a turnover deep in the Irish end and roofed a beautiful backhand over Steve Summerhays to give the Gophers a 3-1 lead in the second period. Minnesota welcomes Alaska Anchorage to town for WCHA set beginning Friday.

Joel Armia returned to SM-Liiga action for the first time since Dec. 18, garnering a secondary assist on a first period goal as Assat doubled Karpat 6-3. Armia, who added three shots in 14:58 of work, has an even 15 points (10+5) through 26 games. He has 22 games remaining to get to the 20-goal mark. Assat returns to action Thursday versus SaiPa.

In the WHL, Colin Jacobs posted a minus-four rating as Prince George was defeated by Portland 6-4. Despite being the Cougars' leading scorer with 13-17-30,  Jacobs sinks to a cumulative minus-20 on the year.
