Colin Jacobs bagged a goal and two assists Sunday as Prince George saw their three-game winning streak snapped in a 5-3 loss at Vancouver. The gritty forward, who pocketed his 12th multi-point game of the year, continues to lead the Cougars with 24 goals and 51 points with four games left to play. Prince George is currently in ninth place in the Western Conference, four points behind Everett for the final playoff spot.

Logan Nelson snapped home his 13th goal of the season as Victoria was defeated by Portland 5-2. The goal, Nelson’s fifth in his last seven games, gives the Minnesota native 41 points (13+28) in 46 outings. The Royals are locked into the #6 seed in the Western Conference, but have won just once in their last 14 games.

In the OHL, Justin Kea scored his 22nd goal of the season as Saginaw was defeated at Plymouth 7-5. The hard-working forward enters the final week of play with 22 goals, 48 points, and even 100 penalty minutes through 65 games.

Alex Lepkowski finished minus-one as Barrie edged Niagara 6-5. The Colts are tied with Belleville for the top spot in the East with three games left to play.

In the AHL, Matt Ellis and Phil Varone scored in regulation and Alex Biega potted the winner in the 10th round of the shootout as Rochester downed Abbotsford 3-2. Zemgus Girgensons notched an assist on the Varone goal to earn a point in two straight games. David Leggio made 35 saves for the Amerks, who are off until Wednesday when they host Binghamton.

Kris, after watching the Sabres for a long time, I think they need a few more Type A alpha dogs on this team. Do you see any in this draft?
