3/13 Recap: Austin extends streak; Ullmark wins

Brady Austin earned an assist Wednesday as Belleville clinched the East Division title with a 5-2 win over Oshawa. The third-period stretch pass gives the big defender points in four straight games. Austin enters the final weekend of play with 23 points (8+15) and a plus-16 rating. The Bulls play their next-to-last game of the season Friday at Mississauga.



In Sweden, Linus Ullmark made 25 saves as MODO J20 opened their best-of-three playoff series versus Brynas with a 2-1 overtime victory. The two clubs resume the series on Friday.

In AHL play, Luke Adam scored his 14th goal of the year and added an assist as Rochester held Binghamton to just 19 shots on goal en route to collecting a 3-1 win over the Senators. David Leggio picked up his league-leading 31st victory, while Matt MacKenzie assisted on Adam's game winner to earn his second point of the year and first since October. Matt Ellis and Maxime Legault also scored for the Amerks, who next host Albany on Friday.
