Ullmark has been superb in J20 post-season play, winning all three of his starts while amassing a 0.97 GAA and .964 save%. MODO will join Frolunda, HV71 and Farjestads next weekend in Orebro to decide a champion.
Mikhail Grigorenko (+3) picked up three assists as Quebec skated to a 5-1 triumph over Chicoutimi. The effort, which earned Grigorenko the number star of the game, gives the creative Russian five points (0+5) through his first two post-season games. The clubs travel back to Chicoutimi on Tuesday for game three with the series deadlocked a one game apiece.
In the OHL, Dan Catenacci earned the game's third star with a three-assist effort as Owen Sound doubled Sault Ste. Marie 4-2. The victory gives the Attack a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference quarterfinal. Game three will be played Monday night in Sault Ste. Marie.
Brady Austin earned an assist as Belleville cruised to a 4-1 victory over Mississauga. The 6-foot-4 defender now has points in six of his last seven games going back to the end of the regular season. Game three will be played Sunday in Mississauga with the Bulls holding a 2-0 series lead.
Alex Lepkowski finished plus-one as Barrie defeated Kingston 7-4. The Colts take a 2-0 series lead into Kingston for Monday's game three.
Jake McCabe snapped a puck to the net for an assist as Wisconsin edged Colorado College 3-2 win the WCHA Final Five Championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament. The Badgers claim the prestigious Broadmoor Trophy as WCHA Champion for the first time in 15 years. Brad Navin added a shot on goal for the Badgers, who will wait until Saturday evening at 9PM to learn who they'll be matched up against in their quest for the Frozen Four.
In the WHL, Logan Nelson finished with a minus-three rating as Victoria dropped a 6-4 decision at Kamloops. The Royals now find themselves in a two-game deficit as the series heads home for Tuesday's game three.
In the AHL, Colin Jacobs scored his first professional goal as Rochester defeated Houston 3-2 in a shootout. Trailing 1-0 eight minutes into the second period, Jacobs scored off a Matt Ellis faceoff win to get the Amerks on the board. Nick Tarnasky also scored in regulation for the Amerks, while Rick Schofield, Mark Mancari, and Alex Biega sealed it up with shootout tallies. David Leggio made 38 saves to earn his league-best 33rd win.
