3/31 Recap: Griogrenko plays on; Ullmark shuts door

Mikhail Grigorenko scored 3:47 into the opening frame Sunday as Quebec eliminated Chicoutimi from the QMJHL playoffs with a 4-3 overtime victory. The goal gives Grigorenko three goals and 12 points in the six-game series triumph. The Remparts will face either PEI or Rouyn-Noranda in a second round series beginning Saturday in Quebec City.



In the OHL, Dan Catenacci was held off the score sheet as Owen Sound advanced to the Western Conference semifinals with a 4-3 win over Sault Ste. Marie. Catenacci collected two goals and six points in the six-game victory. The Attack will face Plymouth in round two.

In Sweden, Liinus Ullmark made 18 saves as MODO  J20 advanced to the Anton Cup championship with a 1-0 shutout victory over Frolunda. Ullmark has been excellent in the junior league playoffs, winning all four of his starts while posting a 0.74 GAA and .970 save%. MODO battles HV71 in Monday's title game.
