4/1 Recap: Ullmark gets silver

Linus Ullmark made 27 saves Monday as MODO J20 fell in the SuperElit championship game 4-3 to HV71. Ullmark ends his junior league post-season with a 4-1 record, while posting a 1.39 GAA and a .947 save%. The 19-year old stopper now heads to Sweden's national team training camp for exhibition tilts versus Slovakia on Wednesday and Friday.

In Finland, Joel Armia recorded an assist Monday as Assat opened the SM-Liiga semifinal round with a 4-3 double-overtime victory over JYP. Armia directed 16 shots to the net in 26:32 of work, while former Sabres forward Mike Ryan notched the game winner. Game two goes down Wednesday.

In the OHL, Brady Austin finished plus-one Monday as Belleville skated to a 3-1 victory over Mississauga. The Bulls take the opening round series in six games, setting up a Eastern Conference semifinal versus Sudbury starting on Friday.

In the WHL, Logan Nelson was minus-one as Victoria was eliminated from the playoffs with a 6-2 loss to Kamloops. The big forward registered two goals and six points in the six-game series loss following a 43-point (14+29) regular season.
