4/20 Recap: Cat cashes in debut

Dan Catenacci made a successful AHL debut Saturday, scoring the game winning goal and adding an assist as Rochester clinched a playoff berth with a 5-1 hammering of Hamilton. Luke Adam and Phil Varone each added a goal and two assists, while Max Legault and Evan Rankin rounded out the Amerks scoring with singles. David Leggio stopped 29 of 30 shots for the Amerks, who will face one of Texas, Toronto, or Grand Rapids in the first round of the playoffs. Rochester wraps up the regular season Sunday with a rematch with the Bulldogs.

In the OHL, Alex Lepkowski (+1) played tough in his own end as Barrie evened the Eastern Conference final at one game each with a 5-0 victory over Belleville. Bulls rearguard Brady Austin finished with an even rating in the drubbing. With the teams splitting the opening frames in Belleville, the clubs will next head to Barrie for Monday and Wednesday tilts.

In Finland, Joel Armia was kept off the scoresheet through 14:44 of work as Assat downed Tappara 4-0 to tie the SM-Liiga championship series at two games apiece. Armia, who has gathered three goals and seven points this post-season, hasn't scored in his last six games for the longest goal drought of his 2012-13 season. The teams will reconvene Monday for the pivotal game five.
