Baptiste scores as Wolves end trip with loss

Nick Baptiste scored a shorthanded goal and got into a scrap in the game’s final minute as Sudbury ended their visit to Russia Thursday with a 3-2 loss to HC Riga. The speedy right winger collected his second goal of the tournament midway through the second period when he finished off a two-on-one rush to halve Riga's lead to 2-1. Baptiste ends the tourney with four points (2+2), a team-best plus-two rating, and a team-high 45 penalty minutes. Failing to defend their 2012 Junior Club World Cup title, the Wolves will now travel back to Ontario to continue training camp in preparation for the 2013-14 OHL season.
