11/28 Recap: Ullmark victorious; Zadorov unloads

Linus Ullmark made 30 saves Thursday to backstop MODO to a 2-1 overtime victory over Lulea. Ullmark's performance, his seventh victory in 13 starts, keeps him atop the SHL leaderboard with a .945 save%, while his 1.66 GAA places second behind Lulea's David Rautio (1.62). MODO's leading scorer, Gustav Possler, missed his seventh straight game. The right winger underwent further tests this week on his injured knee, but no further information has been made available regarding a return date, or whether or not he'll be able to skate with Team Sweden the 2014 World Junior Championship.

The Russian has points in all three games he has played for London since his return from Buffalo. Brady Austin finished with a minus-one rating for the Knights, who return to work Friday when they host North Bay.

In USHL action, Cal Petersen made 29 saves as Waterloo held on for a 3-2 triumph over Cedar Rapids. The win was Petersen's ninth in 11 season starts. Judd Peterson posted an assist for the RoughRiders, giving him points in three straight games. The two clubs play it back Friday in Cedar Rapids.

In the ECHL, Andrey Makarov dazzled with 32 saves to earn the game's number three star but Fort Wayne was defeated by Florida 3-1. Shawn Szydlowski returned from a groin injury to finish with a minus-two rating in defeat. The Komets visit Kalamazoo on Friday.
