12/10 Recap: Ullmark loses; Nelson injured

Linus Ullmark made 33 saves Tuesday as MODO lost to AIK 3-2 in overtime. Gustav Possler, who returned last week after missing a month with a knee injury, sat out for the second-straight game. MODO hopes that Possler can play on Thursday versus Lulea, but while deemed a minor injury when it first occurred, concern is growing about his availability for the World Junior Championship.

Nick Baptiste was plus-one as Sudbury earned a 4-2 victory over Sault Ste. Marie. The Wolves are back in action Friday versus Oshawa.

Brady Austin picked up an assist on an empty-net goal as London bested Kitchener 6-4.  Justin Bailey (-1) was held without a point for the fifth-straight December contest, while 2014 draft eligible Nick Magyar scored his ninth goal of the year for the Rangers. London hosts Guelph on Friday, while Kitchener battles Owen Sound.

In the WHL, Logan Nelson sat out with an upper body injury in Victoria’s 3-2 loss to Vancouver. Nelson’s arm was in a sling but is listed day-to-day.
