12/15 Recap: Bailey scores in Rangers loss

Justin Bailey scored his 11th goal of the year Sunday as Kitchener was toppled by Sault Ste. Marie 5-1. Draft eligible forward Jared McCann provided two assists for the Greyhounds. The Rangers, who have scored the second-fewest goals in the OHL this season (97), will look to continue their climb out of the Western Conference basement Friday when the get another crack at the Hounds.




Brady Austin logged a plus-one rating as London continued their hot play with a 6-4 victory over Kingston. Sam Bennett ('14) scored his 19th goal of the year for the Frontenacs in defeat. The Knights, who've earned regulation wins in eight of their nine games, return to work Friday versus Niagara.

Nick Baptiste was blanked as Sudbury extended their winning streak to eight with a 1-0 overtime win over North Bay. The Wolves are off until Dec. 28 when they renew acquaintances with the Battalion.

In the ECHL, Shawn Szydlowski produced three shots on goal as Fort Wayne skated to a 4-1 win over Evansville. Andrey Makarov was given the night off for the Komets, who next host Reading on Friday.

Colin Jacobs went without a point as Elmira edged Reading 3-2. The Jackals visit Cincinnati on Friday.

Connor Knapp did not dress for a third-straight game as Greenville defeated South Carolina 3-2. The Road Warriors begin a three-game weekend Friday at Florida.
