12/5 Recap: Compher kept off sheet in exhibition loss

In Thursday action, J.T. Compher finished minus-two as No. 3 Michigan dropped a 5-4 exhibition decision to Team USA U-18. Boston College commit Alex Tuch ('14) scored in overtime for the NTDP to seal the victory, while fellow BC recruit Sonny Milano ('14) added three helpers. North Dakota commit Shane Gersich also provided three points (1+2) for Team USA, while 2015 eligible and Boston University recruit Jack Eichel opened the game's scoring. Compher and the Wolverines are off until Wednesday when they host Ferris State.

In the OHL, Justin Kea played even as Saginaw lost to Windsor 5-2.  Draft eligible winger Josh Ho-Sang scored his 16th goal of the season for the Spits. The Spirit visit Kitchener on Friday.

 In the ECHL, Connor Knapp stopped 30 of 35 shots as Greenville was handed a 5-1 loss to Kalamazoo. The clubs will play a rematch on Saturday.

Reigning USHL Goaltender of the Week Cal Petersen got the night off as Waterloo downed Tri-City 4-1. Petersen could return to the net Saturday when the Black Hawks travel to Dubuque.
