Reinhart beauty highlights Friday draft watch

Need some fuel for the Battle of the Sams?

Sam Bennett of the Kingston Frontenacs may have taken the number one spot in NHL Central Scouting's midterm ranking, but Kootenay ICE forward Sam Reinhart would like to remind everyone that there is lots of track left to run before the race ends.

Fresh off a successful one-goal, one-assist performance in Wednesday's BMO CHL Top Prospects Game, Reinhart returned to work in style Friday in a 6-1 win at Regina. The box score may suggest that Reinhart posted a "ho-hum" one point night, but the way he did it was hardly ho-hum.

Flip the puck. Fake the defender out of his jock strap. Light the lamp. That's a nice goal.

Ranked as the fourth North American skater in the CSS midterm list, Reinhart has enough club in the bag to consistently post plays of this fashion while looking to prove that he is the top forward in the 2014 draft class.
