2/5 Recap: Amerks streak ends

In Wednesday action, Frederick Roy scored his fifth goal of the year and Nathan Lieuwen stopped 14 of 17 shots as the Rochester Americans saw their winning streak halted at seven games with a 4-1 loss to Syracuse. Mark Pysyk drew an assist on the Roy tally to give him five points (0+5) in eight AHL games this season. Lieuwen, who entered the game with wins in his previous four starts, moves to 10-7-1 on the season with a 2.37 GAA and .924 save%.



In the WHL, Logan Nelson sat out Victoria's contest versus Calgary due to injury. The Minnesota native has been heating up of late with nine points (5+4) in his last five games.
