2/9 Recap: Bailey hits benchmark; Hurley gets season high

Justin Bailey scored his 25th goal of the year Sunday as Kitchener earned a 2-1 shootout victory over Sudbury. Bailey enters the final 15-game stretch of the year as the Rangers' leading scorer with 41 points. Red-hot Wolves forward Nick Baptiste (12-9-21 in 15 games since Jan. 1) was held without a point in the loss.



Brady Austin scored for the second-straight game as London earned a 5-4 come-from-behind victory over Plymouth.The marker gives Austin two goals and two assists in his last three tilts. Nikita Zadorov was kept off the score sheet for the third game in a row.



In the USHL, Connor Hurley scored a season-high four points with a goal and three helpers as Green Bay defeated Dubuque 7-2. Hurley has 7-11-18 in 16 games since being dealt to Green Bay. He previously had 3-11-14 in 21 appearances with Muskegon.

Cal Petersen made 24 saves as Waterloo was defeated by Sioux Falls 4-2. The regulation loss was Petersen's first since Nov. 22, a span of 17 starts.

Judd Peterson notched an assist as Cedar Rapids won at Chicago 4-2. The St. Cloud State commit leads the RoughRiders this season with 15 goals on 22.4% shooting.

In the QMJHL, Mikhail Grigorenko assisted on Adam Erne's game winner as Quebec doubled Sherbrooke 4-2. Grigorenko has points in eight of 10 games since returning to the Remparts for a total of 12 (5+7).
