3/26 Recap: Grigo scores as Remparts hit brink

Mikhail Grigorenko scored his first goal of the playoffs Wednesday as Quebec was put on the brink of elimination with a 4-1 loss to Rouyn-Noranda. Grigorenko's even-strength marker gives him seven points through the series' four games. The Remparts will look to keep their QMJHL playoff hopes alive when the teams play game five on Friday.

In the WHL, Logan Nelson scored his second goal of the series as Victoria smoked Spokane 6-1. Nelson's goal midway through the middle frame extended the Royals' lead to 5-1. With a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-seven series, the Royals will look to use the brooms on the Chiefs when the teams meet again on Thursday.

In the OHL, Justin Kea notched an assist as Saginaw was defeated by Erie 7-3 in game 4 of their first-round playoff series. Eric Locke (-1) saw his three-game point streak snapped in the loss, which puts the Spirit in a 3-1 hole heading into Thursday's game 5. Connor McDavid snagged his first goal of the series plus a pair of assists for the Otters, while Vancouver prospect Dane Fox netted a hat trick.

Also of note, William Carrier missed his second straight contest with a lower body injury as Drummondville took control of their first round series with a 3-2 triumph over Victoriaville. Carrier had a goal and two assists through the first two games, but the Voltigeurs have won twice in his absence to take a 3-1 series lead into Friday's game 5.

In the AHL, Kevin Sundher scored his sixth goal of the year, and Andrey Makarov made 29 saves in his first home start as Rochester was defeated by Milwaukee 3-1. The Amerks have now lost their last eight games, and for the time being have slid out of the final Western Conference playoff spot.
