3/4 Recap: Ullmark comes up big; Locke pots shortie

Linus Ullmark made 28 saves Tuesday and stopped both shootout attempts as MODO got past  Lulea 4-3. Ullmark, who made one of his shootout stops against old pal Linus Omark, has collected 16 wins this season while amassing a 1.99 GAA (2nd in league) and a league-best .934 save%. MODO remains in seventh place with two games remaining on the schedule. Teams 7-10 will play a best-of-three play-in round to start the playoffs.

In the OHL, Eric Locke potted his 22nd goal of the year as Saginaw downed Sarnia 5-2. Locke's fifth short-handed goal, which ties for the most among league skaters, gives him 54 points in 43 games. Justin Kea notched an assist for the Spirit, and now has points in five of six games since returning from a hand injury.

In the AHL, Kevin Porter scored twice and Nathan Lieuwen made 25 saves as Rochester was defeated 4-2 at Rockford. Joel Armia, Brayden McNabb, and Rasmus Ristolainen all picked up assists in the loss. The Amerks, who finish their Midwest road trip with a 1-2-1 record, return home for a Friday tilt versus Syracuse.
