3/6 Recap: Ullmark sharp; Spirit duo guides way

Linus Ullmark made 23 saves Thursday as MODO doubled SHL top dog Skelleftea 4-2. Ullmark picked up his 17th win of the year while maintaining a 1.99 GAA (2nd in league) and league-best .934 save%. MODO remains in seventh place with the regular season finale set for Saturday.

Eric Locke scored twice and Justin Kea notched three helpers as Saginaw blew past Windsor 8-3. Locke's first goal came while short-handed, giving him a league-leading six tallies while down a man. The Spirit captain has 24 goals and 56 points through 44 games. Kea, who recorded his third three-point night of the year, ups his season take to 19 goals and 26 assists.



Brady Austin notched a pair of assists as London blanked Sault Ste. Marie 4-0. Austin's helpers up his career-high point total to 33 (9+24), while his plus-two rating for the nights adds to his cumulative plus-44 rating this season, which is good for fourth in the league. Named OHL Defenseman of the Month for February, Nikita Zadorov went without a point for the third game in row.

In the USHL, Cal Petersen served as backup as Waterloo earned a 5-2 victory over Indiana.
