In Wednesday action, Victor Olofsson (+1, 9:48) and Gustav Possler (15:48) were both blanked as MODO edged Linkoping HC 2-1. Olofsson saw a two-game point streak snapped in the victory, while Possler missed getting on the score sheet for the fifth straight contest. Linus Ullmark served as MODO's backup for the second straight contest. Next up for MODO is a Saturday battle with Brynas.
Brycen Martin logged a plus-one rating as Swift Current was defeated by Saskatoon 4-3 in a shootout. Martin, who has yet to score a goal through his first 11 games of the season, came over the boards as the Broncos' eighth shooter in the deciding frame but was stopped. The Broncos next visit Brandon on Friday.
