Victor Olofsson notched two assists and a career-high 14:51
time on ice Tuesday as MODO was defeated 7-3 by one of the SHL’s top clubs,
Skelleftea AIK. The helpers elevate
Olofsson to nine points (5+4) through 16 games for a share of the team’s scoring
lead. The multi-point effort was the first of his SHL career.
Linus Ullmark allowed seven goals on 36 shots for MODO to
move to 3-5 through his first nine starts. The team continues to struggle
defensively in front of the reigning Honken Trophy winner and the results have
not been pretty. Top line winger Gustav Possler (15:51, SOG) saw his two-game
point streak snapped in the loss.
MODO returns to action Thursday versus Orebro.
Elsewhere in the SHL, goaltender Jonas Johansson returned to
Brynas’ top club roster in the role as backup in a 3-2 loss to Leksands.
Johansson made his first starts of the year for Brynas’ J20 squad, posting a
1-1 record with a 4.02 GAA and .889 save%. Brynas takes on Djurgardens on
Thursday.
