Olofsson scores in MODO loss

Victor Olofsson scored his fourth goal of the season Saturday as MODO was defeated by Luleå HF 4-1. Following an assist on Thursday, Olofsson's marker gives him the second two-game point streak of his brief SHL career. He'll likely miss some time playing for Team Sweden at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship, but as of now he's on pace for a 20-goal campaign.

With the team sliding, the 19-year old Olofsson has embraced the opportunity to play a more regular role. He logged over 13:00 of work for the third-straight game (13:56) after averaging roughly 6:00 per night through MODO's first seven.

Top line winger Gustav Possler (19:14, 3 SOG) went without a point for the fourth straight contest. His longest point drought a season ago lasted just two games.

Linus Ullmark served as the Saturday backup following a lackluster start to the year. The reigning Honken Trophy winner has posted a 1-4 record, 4.53 GAA, and .847 save% through his first six starts.

Winless in four October outings, MODO looks to snap out of their funk Wednesday versus Linköping HC .
