Possler ends funk

MODO winger Gustav Possler connected on the power play Saturday to end a seven-game goal drought as MODO lost to Brynas IF 2-1. The tally, which gave MODO the early 1-0 lead, was Possler's second of the year and first since Sept. 18.

Possler (5 SOG) saw a season-high 21:05 of work in the loss while flanking 2014 first-round pick William Nylander (TOR) on MODO's top line.

Victor Oloffson (-2) skated on MODO's second offensive unit, posting one shot on goal in 13:59 of action. Olofsson was used at the left point on a late power play, but the club was unable to leverage his shooting skill.

Linus Ullmark served as backup goaltender for the third straight game.

Next up for MODO is a Wednesday meeting with Färjestads BK.
