11/25 Recap: Ullmark takes loss

In Sweden, Linus Ullmark stopped 27 of 30 shots Tuesday as MODO was defeated by Brynas IF 4-1. Ullmark, who made his ninth consecutive start for MODO, was beaten with a high glove snipe, a deflection of a long point shot, and an easy scoop of a rebound with MODO attempting to kill a two-man disadvantage. After 17 starts, Ullmark is 6-10  with a 3.57 GAA and .899 save%.

Gustav Possler (-1) recorded three shots in 19:55 of work for MODO, while Victor Olofsson (-1, 14:08) failed to make it three straight games with a goal. Buffalo's 2014 third-rounder, Jonas Johansson, served as backup for Brynas in the victory.

Also on Tuesday, MODO announced the signing of longtime enforcer Donald Brashear to a contract for the remainder of the season. A veteran of 1,025 NHL games, Brashear, 42, could make his debut on the big European ice Thursday when MODO hosts HV 71.

In NCAA action, fifth-year senior Mark Adams earned his first point of the year with an assist as Providence shut down Army 3-0. Anthony Florentino (3 SOG) returned to action following a one game absence for the Friars, who return to work on Saturday versus No. 11 Boston College.

Sean Malone remained out of the lineup as Harvard kept 2015 draft stud Jack Eichel off the score sheet for the first time in his 11-game NCAA career in earning a 3-2 overtime victory over No. 1 Boston University. Malone has missed all nine of Harvard's games this season while recovering from an undisclosed injury. The Crimson visit No. 4 UMass Lowell on Friday.
