11/26 Recap: Brown stays productive

In Wednesday USHL action, Christopher Brown snapped a four-game goal drought with a goal and two helpers as Green Bay was edged by Madison 4-3. The three-point night, Brown's second of the season, has the Boston College commit creeping towards a point-per-game pace with a team-leading 16 (6+10) through his first 17 contests. He has at least one point in eight of his last nine games. Brown and the Gamblers are next in action Friday at Sioux Falls.

Matt Ellis scored his fifth goal of the year as Rochester dropped a 3-1 home ice decision to Grand Rapids. With the Amerks on a first period power play, Mikhail Grigorenko started the play with a nice move to the inside before kicking the puck back to the point to create the Mark Pysyk shot and the Ellis rebound marker. Nathan Lieuwen made 34 saves to suffer his fourth straight defeat. His last victory was back on Oct. 22. versus Rockford.



The Amerks and Griffins will play a rematch Friday night at Blue Cross Arena.

Brycen Martin finished with a minus-one rating as Swift Current was defeated by Edmonton 4-1. A six-goal scorer a season ago, Martin has yet to light the lamp in his first 27 games. The Broncos visit Calgary on Friday.
