SWE: Olofsson snipes; Ullmark under siege

In Saturday SHL action, Victor Olofsson scored his eighth goal of the season on a penalty shot as MODO was defeated by Skelleftea AIK 4-1. A seventh round pick by the Sabres in the 2014 draft, Olofsson has been quite a surprise for both MODO and Sabres fans this season. His eight goals and 14 points both rank second on the team after 23 games.

Linus Ullmark was back in net for MODO following a 50-save shutout on Thursday versus Linkoping HC. He allowed two goals high glove side and another that he really had no chance at stopping as MODO's defense continues to suffer breakdowns in coverage in front of their backstop. Ullmark finished the night by stopping an impressive 48 of the 51 shots sent his way to move to 6-9 on the year.

Gustav Possler saw his three-game goal streak snapped in the loss, finishing with one shot on goal and a minus-two rating in 15:23 of work.
